How distribution model is set up in SRM?

Hi All,

Please let me know the steps invovle to set up distribution model. What is the function of distribution model?

Hi Sunil,

Its not manditory to setup the distribution model. Its purelly depend up on the client requirement  in which system they want to create confirmation ( GR) & Invoice.

If confirmation is created in SRM then distribution model is set up to create corresponding GR in backend.

Usually we set up this in classic , Extended classic &  decoupled scenario.

In classic scenario, PO is transferred to ERP via RFC call and not ALE / IDOC.

These scenarios mainly differ in which system PO is created.
