Homogeneous System Copy for SRM 5.0 Dual Stack

Dear All,

I need to perform homogeneous system copy of SRM 5.0 Dual Stack. Kindly suggest how should i proceed so  that source system should have minimum

downtime.

Source and Target System

OS Window 2003

DB Oracle 10.1.0.4

SRM 5.0

Hi Pankaj Sharma,

To minimize downtime, you can

1)perform a vanilla installation on your target system.

2)Export J2EE files and sdmkit via sapinst on source

3)Run online backup on source

4) Restore online backup on source to target

5) Import J2EE on target with sapinst

6) perform post migration step on target.

Also, you can perform a online R3load export during quiet time to gauge the export duration. If it is reasonable and acceptable, you can use export/import method.
