GOS and DMS difference in attachment transfer.

Hi all

I went thru previous discussions about attachment transfer in SDN about GOS(Generic object service) and DMS(document management server).However i need few more information about this.

we are trying to transfer the file attachment in Purchase requesition document from ERP6.0 to Shopping cart in SRM7.0. Since we may need to transfer attachment vice versa(SRM To ERP)also at different scenarios, we would like to know which functionality(GOS or DMS) will be most consistant in transfering type of attachments.

Whats the mechaniscm behind GOS and DMS during the file transfer. pls suggest.
