Hi Experts,
We are in Sourcing 10.0.
We have a requirement to get 500 line items in generated contract using line item token.
We have added 500 line items in Master Agreement and then tried to generate contract using the clause which contain line item token.
System processed it for about 2 hours and unable to generate contract document.
Can anyone help me what could be an issue.
Any leads would be of great help!!!

Geetika

Hi Geetika,
Have you sized the SAP Sourcing server to support this. Please keep an eye out in the sourcing log files to see if there are any out of memory issues.. (Since it is timing out and not failing with data errors, Iam guessing this may be the cause). You may have to increase the heap size in the end.
PS: Iam assuming you are using the new DOCX contract generation and not the wordservice..

Geetika,
This will need some detailed analysis. Have a looked in the log files to see anything out of the ordinary. How is the load on the system (How many users are logged in and using it as the time you are trying to generate the contract). Are there any scheduled tasks that are running at the same time..
What about custom scripts - do you think there could be any that may be slowing down the process.
So far we have not heard from any customer issues with ~100 line items. But it is important to actually do the sizing of the environment for any kind of large operation..
If you need assistance from Dev. please open an OSS message and send the 'Debug' log file, we may be able to analyze and hopefully determine the cause..

Hi Bogdan,
Since contract generation is now running in the same application server as SAP Sourcing it is imperative that it has to share the hardware resources(memory, CPU) with the SAP Sourcing application (this assuming it has not been deployed on a clustered environment and appropriately sized).
I will try and check if we have any benchmarking numbers especially comparing the old and new CG.
