Hello Experts,
We have a requirement to ensure "Final Signed Document" field has a valid attachment loaded into the system before the user moves the Contract Document to "Executed" phase (System standard phase)
Here is where the catch we are facing -
1) Final Signed Document field gets enabled or available for edit only when you move the phase of document to Executed.
2) Our check needs to be performed before this action
What are the available options to fulfill this requirement?
1) Is there an option within the system to enable the "Final Signed Document" field for edit before moving to Executed phase?
2) Any other alternate mechanism to achieve this requirement

Balaji

Hi Balaji,
I don’t believe you can alter the behavior of that field. If you want to upload the document prior to executed phase then I’m guessing it’s probably not the executed document. One option to consider is to create an attachment type extension field on the contract document page and use that. When the contract document is moved to Executed, move the attachment to the Final Signed Document field via script. I haven’t checked if the IAPIs are exposed but something to look into.

Vikram
