Hi,

I want to create a collection field under the suppliers tab. However when i create a collection field the default tab it appears under is the Header tab. Is there a way by which i can create a collection field under suppliers tab. Also how do i change the positions of the existing fields to different tabs.

The version of SAP e-Sourcing that i use is 5.1.

Thanks in anticipation of your kind help!

Kind Regards,

Anshu

Hi Anshu,

To do this in Wave 7 you would use the Display After field when creating the collection and choose whichever field on the supplier tab you want to place your collection after. I have never used 5.1 but possibly it will be the same.

I am fairly certain you can not change the tab of the out of the box fields.

I hope this helps.

Hi Dan,

Thanks for the reply!

But when i create an extension and use it as a collection member, i do not get

Display After field.

Is this a prob with collection members?

Thanks,

Hi Anshuman,

When I check the box to identify the extension as a collection member the collection information appears on the right of the screen and the Display After field is there.

This must be different in 5.1, hopefully a 5.1 user can help you with this.

Sorry I could not be more help.

Best Regards

Dan

Hi Anshuman,

You would have to use Page Customizations.

Even in 7.0, it is better to do this type of configuration using Page Customizations.

Hi Dan,

I saw a field Display After under the Collections tab, but i am not sure if it is used to place the entire collection in the different tab.

For instance if a create a field "ABC" as a collection member, and then i put the value in the Display After field as "XYZ" which is located in the suppliers tab, will this collection appear in the supplier tab or is this field used to just arrange the columns in the collection table?

Hi Anshuman,

When I create extension collections I use the Display After field to place the whole collection, when I create a new collection member and choose the Display After field it updates all other collection members with the same Display After field. If you choose "XYZ" that is on the supplier tab is should place the whole collection after "XYZ".

To arrange the columns in the collection I use the rearrange button on the extension definition page.

I am not sure how this can be done with page customizations, however as Vikram suggests page customizations are the best way to do this I will try to use them in future.

Dan
