Emails not triggered for RFx, Bid etc

Hi Forum,

We are on SRM 7 EHP 1 .

Emails are not getting generated in our SRM system for any event like creation of RFx, bid accepted or PO Created to the vendor, emails related to contracts or auctions and not even any alerts.

SMTP and SCOT basis settings are in place because in SOST there are few emails with subject "Partner registration completed successfully".

Please let me know what are the required settings in SRM and where to check?

Thank you,

Anubhav

First please check if the mails are available in SOST or not. SMTP and SCOT basis settings are there to trigger outbound mails from SOST.

The config path for output event trigger is  SRM Server  Cross-Application Basic Settings   Set Output Actions and Output Format   Condition-Dependent Document Output .

Hi Malay,

There are no emails related to RFx, RFx response etc in SOST.

When I try to execute the step Condition-Dependent Document Output it displays a short dump

Category               ABAP Programming Error

Runtime Errors         UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION

Except.                CX_OS_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND

ABAP Program           CL_SF_PRINT_TEMPL_PPF=========CP

Application Component  BC-SRV-GBT-PPF

Why the SPRO step going to short dump? Can this be the reason?

Many Thanks,

Hi Malay,

FIxed the short dump issue with the information in this thread

http://scn.sap.com/thread/1429440

Can you now help me with an example of what to maintain in this SPRO activity?

Thanks,

Set Output Actions and Output Format-->Define Actions for Document Output-->

Action definition selected -->Processing Time should be set to "Processing when saving the document"

You can also remove the condition dependent setting if you want to trigger without any precondition.

As Anubhav suggested "processing when saving the document" will trigger output immediately (only after the concerned document is approved).

In the detail of out put there is option of mail, fax etc to choose.

Malay
