DSN - Mapping order confirmation date IDOC ARBCIG_ORDRSP

Dear colleagues,

we have the following requirement.

The date of the order confirmation (ARBCIG_ORDRSP) has to be transferred to the IDOC segment E1EDK03-DATUM Qualifier 012 (Document date) in the ERP system.

Since the field E1EDK03-DATUM is too small (maximum 8 digits) we have tried to send the date to the SAP system via another segment (E1EDK18-ZTERM_TXT). That also works well.

Now we would like to transfer the content from the field E1EDK18-ZTERM_TXT into the field E1EDK03-DATUM Qualifier 012 (Document date) via User-Exit EXIT_SAPLEINM_007.

The data is changed in the user exit EXIT_SAPLEINM_007.

However, data is not saved in the IDOC.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to use a different User-Exit?
