Difference between external and internal bidder

Hi Experts,

Please tell what is difference between internal and external bidder in RFx, and what is the business scenario for it.

Hi Alokesh,

     Internal Bidding - Bidding takes place within the same system where the BID(RFx) was created.

     External Bidding - Bidding takes place in a different customized system (SUS) and the data is communicated back to the original system. 

     This was all technical perspective.. But as a business-technical point why do we need this ??

          For security or some other reason we don't want the bidder to access the primary system, hence a separate system(SUS) is created, where in the bidder can quote.

Its a more of technical difference rather than business perspective...
