Deletion of duplicate " Ship to Addresses"

Hi,

We have a scenario in which there are many Ship to Addresses created for the same organization.

The addresses are same but with different Address Numbers. The user is having a confusion in selecting the correct one.

When we try to delete the duplicate ship to Addresses through "Edit Internal Addresses" system is throwing a message .

"deletion not possible .Address exists in documents".

Please suggest how we can find them and also delete the duplicate Ship to Addresses.

Hi!

You can use transaction BP

All addresses are linked to a Business partner. You find the BP-number either in PPOMA or BBPMAININTC

Her, under address overview, you can delete duplicate addresses (change mode, set cursor on line, remove line)

The issue has been solved . And now Im facing one more issue in connection with that.

when the user is creating a SC the user is trying to search the address by region.

In our system we have multiple values for the same region

Example .. Victoria Region

In system when selecting the region " Victoria " there are two entries with the same description.

Out of the two One is working fine when selected .

when we select the other one system is throwing an error

"The Region "VC"(Victoria) is not maintained for country AU (Item1 )"

Any inputs on this will be of great help

Hi,

Please check in your attributes first. If two address are maintained the delete the wrong one.

I checked in the attributes .Only the Delivery Address Number is maintained in the attributes.

In my case the user want to change the delivery address during creation of SC .when the user is searching the other ship to addresses ,he is getting confused from list of already existing duplicate addresses.

there may not be Delete option . you are right.

you may require to delete BP of the address number via BUPA_TEST_DELETE report.

for eit interanl address , sap did not give any delelte access.

i believe once you delete BP and it might remove fromADRC too.

then plz wait. i believe you have some open documents. thats why you find difficulties. check with SAP.
