Hello Experts,
We started seeing that Ariba System is showing the deactivated users in the CW (being owners) or the template owners as "Anonymized Supplier Contact". Was anyone able to validate this? This is bringing some confusion to our business folks, as earlier, they would just see the person but now it says "Anonymized Supplier Contact". Attached images for reference.
Do you all see the same? Anyone knew how this got enabled into the system automatically?

Ariba Support came back on the case we submitted where we were seeing the Deactivated users in CW and Template owners were showing as "Anonymized Supplier Contact". There was a fix performed and we have validated the fix.

Yes, we no longer see "Anonymized Supplier Contact" in our CW Records where deactivated users are present and also on the Template overview page where we have some of the deactivated users are present as Template owners. Please find below the response from Ariba Support if it helps.
****You should no longer see "Anonymized Supplier Contact" in your Contract Workspaces. This was a regression of a feature that was deployed this past weekend.
The parameter has been disabled, so any reference that was anonymized has been reset to the previous value. ****

Hello Velayudam,
From what the documentation outlines for this feature, this is not an automated process. A member of your Customer Administrator or Customer User Admin group must manually perform a User Management task in Ariba Administrator or mass import to anonymize deactivated users.
I would recommend reviewing the audit log, as an entry about the anonymization is added to the audit log.

We created a Case with Ariba to let us know why we started seeing the Deactivated users (NOT Suppliers) in Upstream as "Anonymized Supplier Contact". Ariba Support team came back and confirmed that this is a Known issue which seem to have come after the March 17th release and the SAP Engineering team is checking on this.
NOTE: We are not trying to anonymize the users, we just noticed the deactivated users in the upstream are showing with different name in the UI.
