Creating a temporary contact person for bidder

Hi All,

We have a requirement for creatng a temporary contact person in SRM RFx area.

Reason: We want to don surrogate bidding for one of the bidder ( supplier marked as bidder also ) and our back end is NON SAP we will replicate the suppliers from NON SAP to SAP that time all suppliers will be bidders in SRM system.

Now we want to create Rfx (Bid invitation) we are able to publish it with a warning message saying contact person does not exists but we are unable to response to that bid since there is no contact person for that supplier.

I have read some of the forums saying we can have temporary contact person for the purpose of surrogate bidding scenario.

Please guide me on this.

Hi

step 1 . You can convert the supplier to bidder.

Steps

Go to SRM adminstration tab in the external business partner -click supplier

you will get all the suppliers.

select a supplier XYZ and click on create contact person with reference to and enter all the details and save.

your supplier is converted to bidder

Step 2 .

for the bidder to participate in surrogate bidding

click on the supplier tab you can see the all the supplier XYZ click on display

go to bidder data tab

click the edit button

check the permit surrogate bidding.

now the supplier is having contact person and he is a bidder

As of I know, you can use Purchaser as a temporary contact person.
