Contracts in Limit Shopping cart

Hi Team

We are using extended classic scenario & can you please help in following questions

1) In the Limit shopping cart can we assign a contract (Limit SC with contract)

2) In the Limit SC under Item data we get a contract Limit value-What is the funcitonality?

Yes you can assign contract only for the option "confirmation and invoice" . Please note only those contracts can be assigned which has no item code or contract with material group only because for limit item you can not enter the item code.

For the option invoice only it is not possible to assign contract as it creates item category limit "B" in PO.
