Connect one portal with two productive SRM clients

Dear colleagues,

because of a carve out of a certain business area my customer want to create two productive clients in their SRM system and connect it to one portal, any idea if this works and maybe you can share some details about the procedure and details to be considered.

Hi

Regarding connecting to backend system, yes you can connect to multiple backend.

But for each backend system you need to have unique system object.

System Object is a set of connection properties to represent an external or SAP systems (SAP R3, /CRM/BW) used to retrieve data into portal iViews.
