Configuring a brand new system - when should I select Extended Classic?

Hi I'm configuring a new SRM system, the client has decided on extended classic scenario, when should I turn the system to Extended Classic, my first task or should I set up the RFC connections etc... first?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Any time is OK because it is only checked at runtime. No effects in configuration time.

Hi Tracey,

It does not make any difference, whether you enable Extended classic first or create RFC connections.

Infact many people have gone ahead with switching from Classic to Extended classic and vice-versa at their will and based on requirements.
