Commitment in SRM

In SRM,enerally how does the commitemnet happen at the SC,PO level?

We are on SRM 5.0

Hi

Committment are always done in ECC. Even if you are creating a document in SRM, SRM system (standard behaviour) will automatically work on committments in ECC.

If you do a similar purchase in future, then these committments will be taken into account in SRM as SRM validates the accounting data iwth backend.

Remember, SRM does not have its own Accounting/FI system, it always makes RFC Calls to Backend for this purpose
