Cloud connector issue

Hi guys,

We have 2 Ariba CIG (BTP) systems and 1 cloud connector. Both are Test systems. Now, how can we connect the 2 Ariba CIG systems to 1 cloud connector? 1st Ariba CIG is already using the subaccounts and so we cannot use the same cloud connector system for the 2nd Ariba CIG system.

https://help.sap.com/docs/sisgw/sap-ariba-cloud-integration-gateway-installation-guide/configuring-s...

Subaccounts: xf014edd7 and x60abf046

Hi Philip,

if the two systems are sharing the same subaccounts, then they should also already see the same destinations that are defined for these subaccounts! So I would say, you don't need to do anything: both Ariba systems should already be connected to that Cloud Connector?!

Perhaps you may need to define additional destinations and the corresponding hostname-mapping in the SCC, if one of the Ariba systems needs to access different backend systems than the other one. (Of course all destinations will be visible to both Ariba systems, but that doesn't mean, that each Ariba system needs to use all of the destinations: you could have one set of destinations used by Ariba_1 and a second set of destinations used by Ariba_2.)

(But perhaps I'm not understanding the full picture here...)

ulrich.schmidt - the problem is that Ariba Dev and Ariba QA uses different P-users. When setting up subaccount, we specify the user account in Ariba. So hiw can we connect QA ariba if subaccounts are already configured for different user?

From Cloud Connector perspective, it doesn't matter which user account you specified when adding a subaccount. The user account is not used anymore afterwards and the subaccount connection is not bound to this user. You may even delete the user account that you specified in Cloud Connector. It is only required temporarily once for issuing the subaccount certificate which is then used by the Cloud Connector for connecting to the respective subaccount.

stefan.gass - is there an SNote or Ariba documentation about this concern?

Please have a look into the Cloud Connector documentation at https://help.sap.com/docs/connectivity/sap-btp-connectivity-cf/managing-subaccounts#prerequisites
It says:
"After establishing the Cloud Connector connection, this user is not needed anymore, since it serves only for initial connection setup. You may revoke the corresponding role assignment then and remove the user from the Members list."
