Check Entries made by user within Sourcing Cockpit (contract number/item)

Hi,

we are using SRM 5.0 with ECS.

Scenario: User creates PO out of Sourcing cockpit (SRM standard).

Target: I want to check the data which the user made within Soco before creating a follow-on document (PO).

In my case:

User enters an invalid contract item number within sourcing cockpit and hits "create po".

The error (invalid item) appears too late (within PO creation).

I want to make the relevant checks after user push the button "create po".

But unfortunately I do not have the data within BAdI BBP_DOC_CHECK (contract item number from ITS).

Is there any way to check the entries within Sourcing cockpit before creating the follow-on document (by BAdI)?

Or do I have to implement a modification?

unfortunaltely the OSS note you mentioned is not release (yet).

Perhaps you could explain, how SAP solved this problem (Incorrect entries for contract and item within SoCo)? Or share he relevant coding here?

Andreas. as u said procurement department needs some flexible there.

you can validate front end or hide these two fields or raise message to SAP .

I need a entry point (BAdI?) where I can check the entries made by user.

I dont want to hide these fields, I want to check the entries.

Is there any way to check those entries?

did you see this note 1290196

here the validation done at program level.

so if i implement this note in classic , even buyer enter irrelavant GOA product category w.r.t sc product category. The PO will not be created and it spit the error while creating a PO.
