Change Version in Contract

Hi all...

In standard when the change version for the contract is create...

for e.g when i change the released contract (i.e Active Contract) it will create a change version...when this change version becomes the Active version...

can any one explain about it...

when this change version becomes the Active version...

The change version of your contract would become active version again when the user presses release button, the document goes through workflow approval process if there is any and then changes into "released" status.
