Hi experts,
Reading documentation on Central purchasing, am i correct that we need to setup material masters in the hub and then map it with the material code of the connected system.
For e.g. If i have 2 ERP systems (E1 and E2) to be connected to the hub, each with Mn1 (150) and Mn2 (200) number of materials with 100 common materials, so my hub would have Mn1 union Mn2 material master records created (150 + 200 - 100 = 250 material codes) with the mapping to the connected systems.
Has anyone had experience with central procurement for variant configured materials. How do you harmonize class and characteristics.
Thanks
Venkat

Hi Venkat,
You can import material data with "Schedule Import of Catalog Data" app.
Data will populate related MMPUR_EXT* prefixed tables(eg. mmpur_ext_mara).
These tables have connected system id as key field and have seperate master data lines for both systems.
In this case you will have 350 materials.
İf you need an actual mapping for the same material;
You'll need to do some development and extentions for your specific scenario and manage mapping data yourself.
Also CPROC doesn't manage classification data on the hub systems you'll need to manage them on the connected systems.
Regards.
