Central Contracts without PI - LOG_MM_P2PSE_1

My client would like to setup central contracts without PI.  My understanding is that you have to activate the following business functions for this scenario to work correctly:

In SRM:

1. FND_SOA_REUSE_! (irreversible)

2. SRM_WSRM_1

In ECC

1. LOG_MM_P2PSE_1

If I activate these they are not reversible.  That being the case will I still be able to use PI for other processes in the SRM and ECC system or does by activating those eliminate the use of PI in the future for this systems?

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,

PI system needs to be used for many kinds of documents transfer, so even if you don't want to transfer contract via PI, it still can be used for other documents transfer.

For contract transfer, if you still want to use the old way to transfer it, you can set the system type in bbp_backend_dest for ECC system as ERP_3.0 or lower release so that it will read other program/ FM in table bbp_function_map.

Best regards,

Ivy,

Just to be clear are you saying that once I activate those business functions that it will not prevent me from using PI in SRM or ECC in the future?

Paul

Hello Paul,

The mentioned Business Functions will not prevent in any situation the use of PI.

You will still be able to use PI for Contracts or other documents.
