Hi,
We are on SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 SP07 Patch03. I want to confirm when Catalog Managers are uploading Supplier Catalog through Import Manager in to the repository, repository will be locked for end user searches in catalog through SRM. I think it should not be locked because end users will only search (Read access) the catalog item. Write access should not be provided at the same time but read access can be provided when writing operation in performed.
Looking for more clarifications.
Thanks,

Hi,
Master - Slave technology is available.

Contents update is done in master repository and slave repository is only for search purpose.

Masa

Hi Masa,
Thanks for your response. I know that Master-Slave functionality is available where Supplier Data can be uploaded in to Master Repository (Write Access) and Slave repository can be used for Catalog Serach (Read access). But the problem with this functionality is that latest data can be available in to slave repository only after Master-Slave synchronization. I know that Master-Slave synchronization will lock the repository again so we can't run this synchronization every hour.
I just want to confirm that at the time of data import (Supplier Catalog file) through Import Manager in to SRM-MDM repository will lock the repository for end user searches (Read Access). That means if Catalog Manager is uploading supplier catalog through import manager, SRM end user can't access catalogs.
Thanks,
