Catalog and MDM

Hi Sap Gurus,

Can anyone tell me the difference between SRM 5.0 Catalogs and SRM 7.01 MDM Catalogs...

Is there any other difference except that in MDM both internal and external catalogs maintained???

Hi Sanjay,

SRM 5.0 Catalog does not exist.

The catalogs provided by SAP are following:

SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 - usually used with SRM 5.0

SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 - usually used with SRM 7.0

SRM-MDM Catalog 7.01 (SAP Procurement Catalog 7.0 EHP1) - used with SRM 7.01

SRM-MDM Catalog 7.02 (SAP Procurement Catalog 7.0 EHP2) - used with SRM 7.02

All of them are usually called "internal" catalogs. External catalogs are maintained by external catalog providers.

So in this sence, there is no difference between these catalog versions. The only difference is that newer versions provide some new functionalities additionally to the older versions.

Thank you for the reply.. can you be little precise what are the functionalites additionally we have in SRM-MDM 7.01  compared to SRM-MDM 2.0
