Hi Team,
We want to cancel the child agreement. However my master agreement is canceled.
In child agreement under the tab document we have cancel option but it is grayed out.
Suggest me how to cancel the child agreement.
If any rule to be made do suggest me on how to do the same.
With regards

Hi Lava,
Thanks for the suggestion.
We followed the steps mentioned by you, However we are getting same error
stating parent is inactive choose other.
Refer below screen shot
In Child agreement we can see the cancel button after giving future Expiration Date, Termination Notice Lead Time (Days) and Termination Communicated Date.
Pop up message will come stating to confirm the cancel.
Getting same error as parent is inactive choose other parent.
Thanks in advance

Hi Divakar,
In your first message you have mentioned you have cancel option but it is grayed out,
so I have given steps to enable the cancel button.
Now I have understood your issue by seeing your message with screen shots.
Already you have cancelled the Parent agreement so now you want to cancel child agreement.
So first you need to change the Parent Agreement which is active then you will be able to cancel, this is standard behavior.
To change the Parent Agreement you need security rights. Manage Hierarchy right should be allow.
Please see below screen shots for your reference.
Hi Divakar,
Couple of questions...
- Which version of Sourcing are you on?
- How was the Sub Agreement created? Via the UI or via import?
There are some prerequisites for cancelling an Agreement. You can find them in the Help by going to Contract Management > Master Agreements > Cancelling an Agreement. You may want to make sure those prerequisites are met.
Thanks.
Vikram

Hi Vikram,
Thanks for your response.
Below are the answers to your question
Which version of Sourcing are you on?
We have sourcing version 9.0
How was the Sub Agreement created? Via the UI or via import?
It was created via UI
As you mentioned we have Contract Management > Master Agreements > Cancelling an Agreement we have only close option as cancel is greyed out.

Hi Divakar,
1. You must have the appropriate rights to close an agreement
2. The current date is before both the End Date and the termination date (the Termination
Communication Date + the Termination Lead Time) Note: For a perpetual term
sub agreement or master agreement, since there is no End Date, the current date must
be before the termination date. (If the Termination Communication Date and the
Termination Lead Time fields are empty, the current date is considered to be before the
termination date.)
3. The Total Actual Price is not set.
4. Actual Start and Actual End dates have not been entered on the Tracking page for any
schedule item.
5. All associated contract documents are checked in on the Contract Documents page.
Please see below screen shots for you reference.
i) When i didn't meet first condition Cancel option is grayed out.
ii) when i met conditions
I hope this helps you.
Regards,
Lava.
