Hi! I have posted this on the BI forum but have heard no response. I am not sure whether SRM is a better forum for this as my issue is more related to the BI content for SRM?
Anyway, I have been using this latest configuration guide available from the SRM site - https://websmp202.sap-ag.de/instguides > Configuration Guides for SAP SRM 7.0 > SAP SRM 7.0: Basic Settings for Analytics
In section 2.2.2.1, it talks about replicating the BI datasource itself. I hope I have interpreted this correctly. What I don't understand is the next step of running RSOR. What role sould I be activating? Do I use the roles indicated under the next section called Activation Roles?
This is the first time I am doin this and I am new to BI so my apologeis if the question is too foundamental. Would appreciate if someone can clarify that for me.
Cheers!

Hi
BW-Independent Analytics (New)
Use
As of SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0) and SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SPS06, various BW-independent reports are available. To use these reports, you do not have to install an SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (SAP NetWeaver BW) system.
The reports provide analytics for the following areas: Shopping Cart Confirmation Supplier Contract Purchase Order RFx Auction
The handling of the reports is identical to working with a Personal Object Worklist (POWL). In addition, you can download the reports to Microsoft Excel.
If you use SAP NetWeaver BW, the BW reports for SAP SRM are also available, in addition to the BW-independent reports. u2022 Safeguarding Performance by Limiting Number of Records:
If users do not specify any selection parameters when using the reports, the system displays
all relevant records that are available in the database. If the data volume is large, this can
lead to high response times or even to a time-out of the report. To reduce response times,
you can define a maximum number of records to be found for each of the reports by starting
transaction SM30 and entering the reports and the maximum number of records in view
