BDOC failure while loading material data from ECC to SRM

Dear All,

We are doing the initial load of material data from ECC 6.0 system to SRM 7.0 .

Some of the bdocs failed with the following message:

09.10.2009 18:27:41 Mat. for Initial Download: Table not supported by function

09.10.2009 18:27:36 Order unit XX is not assigned to this product

09.10.2009 18:27:41 Validation error occurred: Module COM_PRODUCT_MAT_VALIDATE, BDoc type PRODUCT_MAT.

**************************************************

Could you please help why we get the message "Order unit XX is not assigned to this product" ( XX can be EA, FT ,ROL etc)?

please download all the masterdata required for materials first.

for example all the units of measure should be replicated first and then the product themselves.

please check whether all the units of measure were successfully downloaded and available in your SRM system.

Hi Arun

As khan said first you must download UOM, product category then only you must down load material

check commpr01 other UOM

you can see other UOMS of Master data .

for eg

basic data in ecc for 0001 material - EA

order unit as 15 EA = 1 CAR

So when you create a cart it will show as a CAR as UOM. check mm03 purchasing data order unit of measurement available or not.

what is the basic UOM for this material, order of UOM in purchasing view maintained . do you have alternate UOM for this product?

Hi Muthu,

I chacked in the R/3 side.

They have alternate UOM , but the ones which went successfully also got alternate UOMs

In purchasing view,

please check whether u have activated variable ord unit field beside the order unit field in material master
