Hello All,
We are currently facing the following issue:
After sending the awarded supplier quotation from Ariba Sourcing to the external system (S/4HANA Public Cloud), the purchase order is not being created automatically. The quotation is successfully transmitted and is visible in the RFQ within S/4HANA, but the expected automatic PO creation is not taking place.
Kindly share your suggestions.
Thanks and regards,
Shubham B

Hello,
if I were you, I would check the following:
Flexible Workflow Not Configured: Automatic PO creation often depends on the correct setup of flexible workflows for RFQs and supplier quotations in S/4HANA Public Cloud. If the workflow is not configured or not triggered, the PO will not be created automatically.
Release Strategy: The RFQ or quotation may require approval before a PO can be generated. Ensure that the workflow allows for automatic release or that all necessary approvals are completed.
Missing or Incorrect Integration Settings: Ensure that the integration scenario between Ariba Sourcing and S/4HANA Public Cloud is fully configured, including communication arrangements, system connections, and relevant user authorizations.
Master Data Prerequisites: The material master and vendor master records must be set to allow automatic PO creation. This includes:
"Automatic PO" flag enabled in both material and vendor master records.
Source list and purchase info records maintained for the material and vendor combination.
Quotation Data Issues: If the awarded quotation contains inconsistencies (e.g., missing or mismatched GL accounts, currencies, or required fields), the PO creation may fail silently or trigger errors.
Budget or Commitment Issues: In some cases, budget or commitment management settings may prevent PO creation if commitments are not properly reversed or managed.
Hope it will help you.
Best regards,
Patryk Walędziak
