ASN in Ariba Network without Inbound Delivery creation in SAP ECC

Hi,

I’m working in SAP Ariba implementation project and our customer want to exchange Advance Shipment notice information with his vendors, but they don’t want inbound delivery creation in SAP ECC.

I explain it with more detail in next lines:

  • Standard integration creates inbound delivery though ASN document sent from Ariba Network.

  • Our customer wants to avoid inbound delivery creation in SAP ECC because don’t want to create GR through inbound deliveries. But they want to work with Advance Shipment Notices documents through Ariba Network (Buyer and Supplier). Below is an image of the process:

My questions are the following:

  1. Is it mandatory to create the inbound delivery when working with Advance Shipment Notice?
  2. Would it be possible to keep the Advance Shipment Notice information in Ariba Network (Buyer & Supplier) without integration with SAP ECC (avoid inbound delivery creation)?

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Regards,

Hi, Kathriavan,

We used CIG AddOn BAdI to avoid ASN creation process but RFC (tx code SRT_MONI) is still receiving information.

Regard,

Víctor.

Hi Victor,

We are trying to achieve the same behaviour on an implementation we are currently working on. Would you be able to provide some technical details (BAdI name, etc.) that you used to meet this requirement?

Thank you

Hi Rashmit,

I don't remember exactly which component was implemented, since it was a long time ago, but you can found all BAdIs in the SPRO customizing of the CIG addon.

Commonly, the corresponding BADIs for Commerce Automation are located in the Ariba Network Integration sub-tree.

Best regards,

Víctor.
