Ariba Sourcing - Baseline Spend, Auto RFP and Quote Submissions Versions Log

Hello

We are using Ariba Sourcing and have run into the following issues

1.) Our approval process is based on awarded spend. So, we have been asked to manually amend the baseline spend (after the quotes have been received). This not only opens compliance risk but also is very inefficient as there are so many clicks involved. Is there a way to auto-populate baseline spend based upon award amount?

2.) My user wants to auto-publish RFPs without any manual intervention. Is it possible?

3.) In addition to cost savings, my user wants to measure the cost avoidance report. This is calculated based upon 1st quote of vendor minus last quote of the vendor. How can we achieve that in Ariba?

Hi,

1) At this point this is the available solution. If you are a DSC for the organization, you can vote for this Customer Influence enhancement.

2) Be able to publish own RFP's without approval is a group/permission granted to the user. Check Sourcing grants and permissions (Commodity Manager, Junior Sourcing Agent, Sourcing Agent, Sourcing Approver, Sourcing Manager) for more details.

3) If rounds are within the same RFP event, there is no way to have this information. If you have rounds executed in different events, you can import supplier's price as Historic Price or create a new Term to input supplier's 1st price and a formula to calculate the Cost Avoidance.
