Is it possible that the authorization information for documents is also transferred via the Ariba REST API?

What exactly do you mean by authorisation information for documents? For some objects, e.g. Contract Workspace, it is possible to send the user and passwordAdapter as query parameters and the CW owner details in the body of the request: https://api.sap.com/api/modify_contract_workspaces/resource.

To utilise the Ariba REST APIs, you will first need to create an application via the Developer portal. Once the application and API access is approved, then it is possible to generate an OAuth secret and base 64 encoded client and secret. The base64 encoded string is what needs to be included in the requests to authenticate against the Ariba REST APIs.

Hi David

Your question is not very clear Are you talking about sending information from Ariba to SAP or the other way round?

We have Ariba to SRM connectivity using PI/PO and standard service integration and in doing so it allows to manage the fields in the XML tags as below

PL refer some fields where I think the authorization could be controlled

Note these are blank as we are not doing that at the moment in the system I am using
