Hi
I have a specific requirement around ariba approval workflow.
My DOA (delegation of Authority) who approves the workflow is defined in the third party system.
I need Ariba procurement workflow approval process in the ariba product but approval needs to be fetched from a third party system.
Has anyone implemented such functionality.
I am not looking at implementing approval process externally. I just need approver to be fetched from a third party.
thanks for the help.

https://blogs.sap.com/2020/02/07/how-to-integrate-sap-suite-on-hana-with-ariba-for-workflow-approval... has some modificaitons as well. any workflow either driven by position role job or price will have to go to a user and this is very much possible between ariba S4 HANA and SuccessFactors.
SAP as a product can be fully integrated without any issues for any such requirement that ariba has around approval.
Please reach out in case of further queries as two of the customers have already implemented completely different workflows scenarios in EMEA.

Hi Laurent
If workflow is not role based then life is easy. Ariba infrastructure will be able to manage all the Delegation of authority as most procurement workflows for downstream are driven by amount approving eligbility.
thanks

Hello Barin,
thank you for clarification.
Having workflow only based on amount could happen, but for customers with complex workflows, for example with derivation rules for accounting, based on specific attributs, etc (and this is not very rare), this Ariba tool is absolutely not relevant
Personally, i am very suspicious with the tools provided by Ariba for an integration with SAP.
Regards.
Laurent
Hello Barin,
i advise you to check with your SAP Ariba colleagues.
