Ariba Invoice Status After Payment Receipt?

Dear All Members

I am new to Ariba and hence trying to understand the status for invoice.

As per the standard config, we create invoice001 and status is updated as "SENT".

Once the payment pay001 has been made against inv001, status remain same as "SENT".

My question:

Upon payment receipt, the invoice status remain as "SENT", is it correct?

Or upon payment receipt, the invoice status to be updated as "PAID"?

Observation:

The payment document pay001 is having the status as "PAID"

Please advise..

Hi,

Yes, the invoice status should change to Paid after SAP runs a payment run.

Either Invoice Status Update message or Remittance message (if in scope) should update Ariba Network and change invoice document status to paid.

You can look it up in various demos as well.

Thank you for sharing an important update. Appreciated.

I have already setup the payment remittance, and its getting reflected in Ariba as payment with status "Paid", but still it is not updating the invoice status to "Paid".

Can you please advise what exactly i am missing wrt config so that i can look again.
