Ariba Integration with SAP ERP NON-UNICODE

Hi,

We are implementing SAP Ariba for PO and invoice automation with ECC. We are using the ariba network adapter with PI 7.11. Part of this also means implementing transports in the ERP backend. Unfortunately we have been told non-unicode ERP (ECC6 EHP6 731 SP18) are not supported.

Anyone else come across this or familiar with ariba customers integrating with non-unicode ERP systems?

A unicode conversion is not an option at this time. The open adapter is also not an option.
