Ariba Contracts Integration with Fieldglass via Open APIs - restriction

Hi Everyone,

I am getting an error while integrating Ariba contracts and FG, and FG team is suspecting this could be happening because of Ariba multi-realm setup.                                                                                             Does anyone know if there is any restriction or limitation, we cannot have Integration between Ariba Contracts and Fieldglass via open APIs, if Ariba is setup as multi-realm (parent/child setup)?
https://help.sap.com/docs/strategic-sourcing/integrating-sap-ariba-contracts-with-sap-fieldglass-067...

Gone through the restrictions and pre-requisite, however, there is no specific call out for this.

Any input, feedback would be highly appreciable.

Thanks in Advance.

Hello Akshay,

I think there is some confusion here. Ariba Parent/Child setup is for Ariba buying and invoicing (former P2P). Ariba contracts is separate module which comes with Ariba strategic sourcing suite. Ariba strategic sourcing suite supports multi-ERP setup.

Anyway, accessing contracts data via Ariba Open APIs has nothing to do with your existing CIG setup. you can access data using Open APIs irrespective of how Ariba sourcing and contracts is integrated to ERPs.

Hope this clarifies.

Regards,

Yayati

I Yayati,

Pls excuse my parent/child comment and this issue has nothing to do with CIG.

Let me provide more details on the situation. I believe someone who has worked with this specific scenario might be able to provide insight:

- We are creating CW at the parent level and Contract Compliance at the child level in Ariba.
- FG is calling the parent endpoint to fetch CW and the child endpoint to fetch Contract Compliance. Please note that the realm details are included in these endpoints.
- According to FG team's analysis, the realm IDs in the endpoints are different, which is preventing the FG system from reprocessing the data. Both endpoints should have the same realm ID. However, we cannot use the same realm ID, since CW is at the parent level and compliance is at the child level. Hence the question here is, do we have any such restriction with integration - FG cannot reprocess the data if ariba has parent/child setup.
If anyone has worked with a similar multi-realm setup, their input would be appreciated.
