When transferring Service entry sheet created in Ariba Network to S4HC we are getting the following error in S4HC:
The PO was created with unit of measure “H” (Hour)
And when the document is in Ariba the unit of measure gets translated to HR
When the SES is posted in SAP the error MM_PUR_SES039 is generated. However if we use the unit of measure “HR” in the PO, then the service entry sheet gets created correctly.
We are using CIG for integration and have maintained the UOM Template in the Cross reference configuration section but changes done there seem not to have any effect in the UOM mapping.
Anyone has seen this error before?

When Service PO from Ariba integrates to S4 with UOM Piece in SRT_MONI as "PCE" it created as AU in S$ without any issues. But when Supplier submit the SES for the same PO with UOM Piece I can see in SRT_MONI as "PC" but failing with ERP response as "Unit PC not found".
Why the same PO mapping is not working for SES as suppose it should be creating SES in S4 With AU as a S4 Standard,
Can someone throw light on this as it standard behaviour, might be missing some UOM Mapping or conversion error.

Please try to implement SAP note 2756556 and let us know if problem persists.
btw:
When it comes to unit of measure on SES, it is always good to check if you have enabled Feature toggle "NP-15461" for buyer account.
Once this is enabled:
Buyer will upload UOM master list, under Administration->Master List-> Unit Of Measure -> Upload or download master list -> Under English Upload CSV file.
If Supplier tries to create SES or invoice with UOM which is not available in Master list then system throws below error:
Invalid unit of measure value.

Thanks przemyslaw.tracz for the response. We are using S4 HANA in the cloud version so I think the note is not applicable in our system.

I added additional information to my initial post around the feature. It will not solve your problem but it is something you should be using going forward regardless.
As for the note available only for S/4 OnPrem...
Please raise a Service Request to check if unit of measure conversation is supported in CIG for 42K scenario, based on what you are saying right now - it is not.
