With our latest release of SAP Ariba Shopping, you get great enhancements of the app. Now you have an easier way of browsing through large catalogs and narrowing down your search by categories.
You can now also withdraw requisitions, and - last but not least - have a visual of the approval flow in the mobile application.
Let me dive right into the new capability to
browse and view catalog items by categories and sub-categories. In addition to text, voice, and image search, you can now also browse categories. For example, a customer configures the category “Hardware & Software”, which includes multiple sub-categories with notebooks, tablet computers, mobile phones etc. This makes viewing and finding items much easier and faster. It provides a more manageable way to navigate through a large catalog, by narrowing down results and thus avoiding scrolling through never-ending lists of items.
Categories and sub-categories make browsing for catalog items easy
Another enhancement I want to show you here is the possibility
to withdraw a purchase requisition right from the mobile app. For requisitions that are in status Submitted or Denied, you will see a Withdraw button in the details area of the requisition screen. Tapping this button changes the status to Composing, where the purchase requisition can then be deleted.
Withdraw a requisition
With the latest release it is now possible to
display an approval flow segment within the requisition details screen of the SAP Ariba Shopping application. In the current preview mode, only two nodes are displayed, the current node and the upcoming node.
This increased transparency in the display of approver details shows you the current status of the approval.
