Highlights of the SAP Procurement 2308 Release

SAP Ariba Category Management

Category management today is a data intensive, manual, time consuming, and disconnected process which can require significant manual effort and can have visibility challenges on KPIs and outcomes.

We are thrilled to introduce the initial launch of SAP Ariba Category Management! This represents a significant step forward for CPOs and category managers around the globe to have a centralized workbench to digitalize and streamline the development, execution, and monitoring of procurement category strategies. With its advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and integrated frameworks and tools, SAP Ariba Category Management enables data-driven decision making, identification of strategic sourcing opportunities, and mitigation of risks.

We are confident that SAP Ariba Category Management can help drive more informed and efficient business decisions, resulting in cost savings, reduced risks, and realization of other key business goals.

*This first release of the solution is available for customers in Europe and US data centers. Global rollout will be communicated accordingly.

Guided buying capability – AI/ML driven recommended alternatives for non-catalog

After delivering recommendations for catalog items in the 2305 release, we are building off this momentum with the introduction of AI-powered catalog item recommendations for non catalog requisitions in the SAP Ariba guided buying capability. This innovation can help ensure end users follow procurement policies, drive simplicity, and achieve compliance to find what’s required in catalogs.

This feature displays catalog recommendations based on user input providing dynamic updates in terms of recommended catalog items and has also been used to enhance requisition forms.

SAP Ariba Contracts – New integration capability with Icertis

With SAP Ariba and Icertis we are continuously improving and adding to the contract creation and authoring process to provide flexibility and best in class contract lifecycle management.

With the latest release, sourcing agents can now trigger contract creation and updates to an Icertis Agreement directly from an SAP Ariba awarded sourcing event, this adds additional flexibility to help optimize processes and provide an exceptional user experience.
