SAP Business Network is a thriving business-to-business (B2B) ecosystem where over six trillion dollars are transacted annually. Millions of companies benefit from selling their products and services on the network by increasing their sales with existing customers, getting discovered by new customers and forming lasting business relationships. SAP Business Network catalog is a tool that companies can use to generate more leads and further grow their business on the network.

What is a network catalog?

A network catalog is a single master catalog that can be created via file upload. It is searchable by keyword and viewable by all buyers on SAP Business Network. Companies can include both products and services, regardless of how they are measured, priced, or delivered, in their catalog. Each catalog item includes fields for a name, description, photo, specs, price, and a link to the uploading supplier’s company profile.

What are the benefits?

  • Uploading a network catalog provides increased visibility for the company and their offerings, as well as high quality lead generation.
  • By uploading a searchable network catalog, suppliers can share their entire catalog with all buyers on SAP Business Network.
  • This allows suppliers to be able to upload and maintain all content in one source.
  • These buyers are ready to buy the products and services offered by the supplier as they are searching for specific content on the network.
  • Once a buyer finds a product or service they are interested in, they can send a request for information (RFI) via the price check button on the product listing, which will show up in the supplier’s ‘Leads’ tab within the portal.
  • Suppliers can also get greater visibility for their company profile, which is linked directly from all network catalog items, where they can share more information illustrating why they are the best choice for the buyer such as certifications, sustainability ratings, and more.
