Hi There,
Welcome to update #5 of Fieldglass Features.
Today we’ll be looking at the 2 mobile app’s currently available – both available from Apple app and Google Play store
SAP Fieldglass Manager Hub:
What does it do: Allows your users to perform frequently performed actions from their mobile device Approve time sheets, approve WO’s and SOW’s, approve Job postings, shortlist. Quickly view worker (contingent and SOW) worker details – start/end dates, spend
Why should it be of interest: We have found that by advertising the use of the Manager Hub Mobile App within the program and encouraging Managers to utilise this functionality our customers are able to shorten their approval times inc time to hire. Also improves the UX for managers by providing another way to transact with Fieldglass in manner that can best align to individual preferences. You can also report on which approvals were done via the app – so you can report back to stakeholders on the take up % of approvals done via mobile app
SAP Fieldglass Time Entry
What does it do: Allows workers to submit their timesheets on the go – when they are on the bus, train or ferry ride home from work (or whilst watching the wiggles “home schooling” their toddler!) They are also able to see if a timesheet is approved
Why should it be of interest: improve the UX for workers, provide alternate
Effort to implement – super easy, it’s less of an implementation exercise more of an awareness campaign for the user and/or worker community
Effort to test – no need
Benefits to business –At minimum it provides your user community another way to transact in Fieldglass – there’s really no excuses for not submitting or not approving those timesheets on time!
Configuration
SAP Fieldglass Manager Hub:
So there’s no real configuration, the only optional company config is there is a config to display a widget on the buyer users homepage advertising the mobile hub. Aside from that there’s no config needed.
Buyer user downloads app, In app enters their user name, they are then prompted to log in via the UI to confirm pairing of their account to the mobile device.
THAT’S IT, they are they off and running.
SAP Fieldglass Time Entry
Again – there’s no configuration or action needed by Fieldglass or PMO aside from a promotion campaign that the app exists
The worker downloads the app from Apply App or Google Play store
On setting up they are asked to scan the QR code which they get via logging in through normal UI and QR code is in their “My Profile” section
THAT’S IT, they are off and running!
