Hi There,

As a Fieldglass Product Adoption Executive in Australia – I manage a portfolio of 10-15 customers at any one point in time. Each customer is different with different program goals, operational, organisational or regulatory constraints.

The purpose of these blog posts is to highlight opportunities for Customers to drive more value creation out of using the Fieldglass application or improve the user experience for your audiences. The Features we’ll discuss should be of interest to the majority of customers – no matter the program type or geographical region.

Each update will contain information on 1 specific feature (or group of features with a topic in common) that should be of interest and that if you are not currently using – are probably not aware of

So, welcome to my second blog post highlighting some of the great features in Fieldglass that you may not be aware of. This week – we’re looking at Advisor Reports

What does it do: Advisor Reports are displayed while viewing and approving items and provide key information to guide a user to make informed decisions or take action. You can take either one of the Fieldglass predefined reports or build your own report to provide the information you want displayed, and then configure where you want this information to be available to users. The output of the Advisor report (say average time to fill by job posting template title) can be displayed to a hiring manager when they are creating a job posting – to help manage their expectations on how long it typically takes to source, select and on-board a resource aligned to that Job Posting Template.

Why should it be of interest: As we know, pretty much every  transactional data point in Fieldglass is reportable. The power of the Advisor functionality is it provides users with filtered, real time reporting output, in a consumable manner – placed in the app in the location to have greatest effect.

Effort to implement – easy

Effort to test – easy

Benefits to business – medium

Some great examples:

  • Average rate based on job title/SOW worker role by location – is it typically cheaper to source a Project Manager from Sydney or Parramatta, India or Sri Lanka

  • Average time for suppliers to respond with job seekers / SOW response based on JPT/SOW template selected – again managing expectations – when they can expect to receive responses from suppliers – owner can pre plan to set aside when they can expect to review shortlist or SOW responses

  • Worker % of committed spend if timesheet approved – lets hiring manager know when they are running out of spend and need to revise

  • You can even go so far as to create an advisor, visible only to Job posting coordinators / PMO, that displays candidates in the past x months/days, that have been shortlisted from a JP of that job posting template!!!

  • The possibilities are endless and up to your imagination, the behaviour you are looking to drive and the outcomes  you are aiming for

If you have Advisor Reports enabled it would be great to hear your feedback and share with the community how easy it was to enable, how well it was received by the business – or any feedback on any challenges you may have encountered.

This is the fist in a series of blog posts on this topic recommending easy to implement, high value features that customers may not be aware of. To ensure you don’t miss any snippets of gold in the future – be sure to follow
