Introduction:
This document talks about enabling the Quick Criteria Maintenance and setting the default values in POWL query for all the users with the customization setting.
Issue:
Recently we have implemented a support pack 14 on SRM 7.0, with this upgrade in the shopping area, query search is refreshed and Quick criteria maintenance is disabled.
Solution:
There are 2 ways to enable the quick criteria maintenance.
1. User can log in to SRM >> click on change query >> maintain the criteria personalization >> select all the options and click on apply.
2. With the customization setting.
In my view, the second option would be more advantageous than the first option. because, with the customization setting the quick criteria maintenance will be enabled for all the users.
suppose, user manually enabled the quick criteria option and later the POWL_D01 job is executed for the users to delete the pending queries, then again the quick criteria option will be disabled.
Below is the SPRO path to enable the quick criteria maintenance for all the users.
SPRO >> Cross-Application Components >> General Application Functions >> Generic SAP Business Suite Functions >> Personal Object Worklist >> Define Default Queries.
select the Query id for the shopping cart SAPSRM_E_CHECKSTATUS_01 and for confirmations it is SAPSRM_E_CHECKSTATUS_02, click on details and click on Query setting option and select all the check box in the column Quick search and save the document.
Now execute the POWL_D01 program to delete the existing queries for all the users and check.
then the quick criteria maintenance will be enabled for all the users.
the same approach can be followed for confirmation quick criteria maintenance as well.
Setting the Default values in the Confirmation Query in shopping area for Employee Role :
if the query doesn't have any default values and when search is being carried out, error message (Last query refresh failed due to internal errors; contact your admin) will be displayed in the shopping area and search will not fetch any results.
in such cases, it is necessary to default values in the query id so that search will be restricted and these kind of issues will be resolved.
Go to the path SPRO >> Cross-Application Components >> General Application Functions >> Generic SAP Business Suite Functions >> Personal Object Worklist >> Define Default Queries.
and select query id SAPSRM_E_CHECKSTATUS_02 for confirmation and click on details button and select the option Query parameters here you can default values and save.
once the default value is set in the above path, to reflect the default values in the portal, you need to execute the report POWL_D01 for the users and check in the portal. the default values will be displayed in the portal and query refresh related errors will not be displayed.
after setting the default values in the portal, users can still search with there own criteria by modifying the query but this will be applicable only for the user.
