Welcome to our 2411 Innovation blog, we are thrilled to share with you some exciting new features and improvements coming your way in the Procure to Order space. This time round we have a strong focus on enhanced capabilities and improved user experience across both guided buying and the SAP Ariba mobile shopping experience. We hope that these improvements will help drive more flexibility into the buying process, for both users in the office and on the move in today’s busy world.

SAP Ariba Shopping mobile App - Support for PunchOut Items

We are pleased to announce that you can now purchase items from external supplier catalogs through Level 1 PunchOut catalogs, directly from the SAP Ariba Shopping mobile app. This feature was previously only available to desktop users and can now significantly broaden your product range for mobile shopping.

All necessary compliance and approvals are still maintained through the normal Ariba checkout process. This added capability provides greater flexibility, allowing purchases from a variety of external catalogs directly from your mobile device.

SAP Ariba Shopping mobile App - View and Edit Requisition Line Items

In addition to the mentioned PunchOut capability, in this release we have also enhanced the SAP Ariba Shopping mobile app to offer more visibility and control over your purchases. Users can now view detailed line item information in the requisition details screen and make necessary edits to line items directly from the checkout screen.

This update ensures that the mobile requisitioning process is as flexible and transparent as possible, allowing for simple review and adjustments on the go.

SAP Ariba Buying, guided buying capability - Additional Supplier Contact Information on Multi-Line RFQ

To facilitate better communication, we’ve added more supplier contact information to the RFQ process. Previously, RFQs included only the supplier's name and email address, which sometimes led to communication issues in identifying the right person from the supplier.

Now, the contact information will also feature phone numbers. Additionally, RFQs can be directed to the primary contact and Bid/Proposal Manager only if required, ensuring that RFQs reach the intended contacts.

This improvement is aimed at increasing accuracy and efficiency in the RFQ process.

SAP Ariba Procurement mobile App - Support for Central Receiving

In this release we have also enhanced the SAP Ariba Procurement mobile App, we have now introduced the ability to perform central receiving tasks directly from the SAP Ariba Procurement mobile app. Previously, this was possible only through the web application which was not always convenient for central receiving on the move. The app also now displays the approval flow for receipts.

These enhancements provide more flexibility and convenience, allowing users to manage crucial receiving tasks and maintain transparency over the approval process while on the go.
