The standard SAP Integration with Concur Solutions (SAP ICS) makes it really easy to quickly setup and configure an integration between your ECC or S/4HANA OnPrem system and SAP Concur. Our Concur Service Delivery team have helped many clients in getting this setup, but there are certain issues we often see clients run into. Fortunately, there are a few easy checks and guidelines you can follow to avoid them.

The purpose of this article is to give a quick and simple overview of the guidelines to ensure you are best prepared for a smooth integration.

Add-ons:

For on-premise integration, it is essential that the latest service packs (SAP Note 2298170) are installed. You can find these in the Master Guide on the SAP Help Portal.

The following add-ons must be downloaded and installed for SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA On-Prem 1511-1909:

  • CTE_FND 100 – Foundation Component (always required)
  • CTE_HCM 100 – HCM Integration (optional, for the replication of employee master data and payroll / Payroll)
  • CTE_FIN 100 – Financial Integration (required for FI postings and the replication of cost object types)

Installation instructions for installing the add-ons using SAINT can be found in SAP Note 2298170 under sections 3 and 4.
Other add-ons should not be installed, only the ones listed above are required.
Assign authorizations and AuthProfiles according to the MasterGuide.

Importing Certificates:

Unlock the firewall and import the certificates in STRUST under SSL Client Standard.

  • DigiCert Global Root CA
  • DigiCert Global Root G2
  • DigiCert Global Root G3

The certificates can be obtained from the DigiCert website:
www.digicert.com/digicert-root-certificates.htm

Enable Communication (Firewall):

The following addresses must be allowed in the firewall for outbound communication via REST API:

EMEA datacenter

  • eu2.concursolutions.com
  • eu2.api.concursolutions.com

US datacenter

  • us2.concursolutions.com
  • us2.api.concursolutions.com

Detailed information on this, as well as on integration via middleware (if necessary), can be found in SAP Note 2914977 - FAQ: Concur Certificates, Authentication, and Connectivity.

For customers with SAP integration platforms, we recommend the following documentation in the SAP Business Accelerator:  https://api.sap.com/package/ConcurIntegrationDataExportandFIPosting/integrationflow
