With over $69 billion in business opportunities posted on the network last year, there is no shortage of potential for suppliers to get discovered by global buyers and grow their business. You can get started building your presence on SAP Business Network today, whether you have zero or many customers on there today.

Optimizing your profile for better leads

As buyers search for products and services on SAP Business Network, information from supplier company profiles, in addition to network catalog content, is used to populate the search results. By having a complete, and up to date profile, you can optimize your chances of generating leads.

In particular, the following criteria from company profiles is used in buyer searches:

  • Company name- Identify who you are to buyers
  • Certificates- Build trust and credibility by demonstrating your commitment to quality standards, expertise in your field, adherence to industry best practices, etc.
  • Keywords- Increase searchability when a buyer search matches your keywords
  • Ship to/service locations- Show buyers if they are in your service range
  • Product and service categories- Help potential customers understand your offerings and increase your searchability

Check out this helpful checklist to make sure you fully complete your profile and increase your chances of receiving leads from interested buyers.

Generating leads with a network catalog

A network catalog is a single master catalog that can be created via file upload. It is searchable by keyword and viewable by all buyers on SAP Business Network. Companies can include both products and services, regardless of how they are measured, priced, or delivered, in their catalog. Each catalog item includes fields for a name, description, photo, specs, price, and a link to the uploading supplier’s company profile.

What are the benefits?

  • Uploading a network catalog provides increased visibility for the company and their offerings, as well as high quality lead generation.
  • By uploading a searchable network catalog, suppliers can share their entire catalog with all buyers on SAP Business Network.
  • This allows suppliers to be able to upload and maintain all content in one source
  • These buyers are ready to buy the products and services offered by the supplier as they are searching for specific content on the network.
  • Once a buyer finds a product or service they are interested in, they can send a request for information (RFI) via the price check button on the product listing, which will show up in the supplier’s leads dashboard within the portal.
