Dear SAP Women in Tech Community members,
We’re very excited to share with you, that Germany's largest online mentoring program for girls in STEM, CyberMentor, is starting its next round. A lot of girls, the future mentees, have already signed up and are now looking for you to become their mentor to discover STEM activities and dive deeper into the world of STEM professions.
What's it all about?
At CyberMentor, up to 800 female students are mentored for the duration of one year by female professionals working in STEM fields. As a role model, the mentor encourages STEM activities and provides advice on study and career choices. Mentoring takes place via a protected online platform with mail, chat and forum and is supported by a wide range of information about the STEM world.
What is expected of you as a mentor?
- You're a women in STEM.
- You’re located in Germany for the mentoring period (one year).
- You speak either German or English, or both.
- You will mentor a 5th to 13th grade student online for one year.
- You will spend 30 minutes each week with your mentee.
- You support your mentee in STEM projects, discuss STEM topics and talk about your studies and/or your profession.
As a mentor, you become part of a nationwide network of women in STEM. You will receive an introduction and training to support you in your role as a mentor.
