DESCRIPTION:
The first part of this Academic Lesson introduces the concept of cloud computing. The second part of the Academic Lesson provides an overview of supply chain processes in a typical business. It focuses on inventory management, order processing, logistics material identification, and delivery management, but also identifies warehouse management and transportation management as part of the supply chain. Warehouse and transportation management are the topics of other Learning Journeys. This Learning Journey also introduces the concept of the organizational elements and enterprise structure required for an ERP system to process and report transactions according to business requirements.
SUGGESTED AREAS OF STUDY:
Business (all majors), Information Systems, and others that require an understanding of how to procure goods and services in an ERP system. Appropriate for students at undergraduate and graduate level university, community college, trade school and upper-level secondary school.
