TechED LasVegas Question

I have a few questions about the event.

1. I have not been to a teched in many years now. How do I sign up for the hands on class through the website. I logged in and look at the course schedule but can not find anything to add it to my schedule. yes I am completely paid up and should be able to.

2. Is there any requirements to take the exams (courses, other exams, ..). What is the difference between the professional exams and the associate exams, do you need the associates exam first? And how hard is the professionals exam compared to the associates?

3. I noticed that someone mentioned requiring a company letter to be able to take a Certification exam. Is this true? who does it have to be from and how would they verify it anyway?

4. I currently am SAP Technical Consultant Certified in XI 3.0 (TBIT51). Does this open up any special courses?

I know this is a lot and a very poor way to post a question in a forum. I am sorry for that. I just have too many questions running through my head to truly narrow it down and make a better post.
