Running is good for you. At DataVard, we are helping our customers run their SAP systems better, and also we encourage our team to join all kinds of running events - team relays, half- and full marathons, and crazy events like 200 mile team races.
One of the best ways how to get to know any place is to go running. Therefore, it was exciting last year to hear about the SAP TechEd run in Vegas. The complete DataVard team going to TechEd last year registered immediately.
So, here is why we do this: Running events is not only a healthy excuse for opulent meals and unhealthy partying!
Distance running also helps you to learn all about pacing yourself, about endurance and determination. You build physical and mental stamina. You start something, and finish as a team. If you have a bad day, your team will help you. If you have a great day, you help others by cheering them along. At the end of the day, you are always happy and proud you did something good.
All of these are also vital IT skills which help you when Murphy’s law strikes yet again, when you pull an all-nighter, or simply when the daily grinder gets at you.
There is nothing better than starting the day at sunrise time with hundreds of other enthusiasts (or crazy lunatics?!) and go for a run. This year in the newly named D-Code we from DataVard want to share this great feeling with all of you!
There will be a day when you can no longer run. Today is not that day. So, when your alarm will wake up early in the morning in Vegas this year, you’ll know what time it is. Time to run! And remember: Today’s run ends, running does not!"
This is our crew from last year.
