We are Konstantin Heine and Stephanie Stang, Product Managers for SAP BTP. We look forward to the upcoming SAP TechEd Virtual – especially towards the SAP BTP General track.
Konstantin: As a child, I always played with interlocking building blocks. This led to my career, which now has to do with a modular platform. But jokes aside, I find it incredibly fascinating to see the multifaceted ways SAP BTP is utilized. In my role, I focus on making the development and operation of applications on SAP BTP easier, while also providing supporting assets to navigate certain challenges.
Stephanie: While taking care of the SAP BTP cross roadmap topics and creating awareness for our customers, I discover every day what you can get out of SAP BTP. But even in private, I like to discover a lot. That’s why I like travelling around the world and getting to experience new adventures.
The SAP Business Technology Platform track is designed to provide an overview of the key technologies that make up the platform. We cover a broad range of topics and grouped them into three sub-tracks that help you to easily find sessions of interest:
- Strategy & Overview – Starting point to learn everything about SAP BTP and strategic topics.
- Guidance & Operations – Content on how to get started or advanced content on guidance and best practices.
- Security & Compliance – Contains sessions that help you understand how to securely operate and integrate your applications.
What inspired you to specialize in this track?
Our track provides insights into future trends with guidance on architecture, methodologies, and governance models to help define your path forward. Every SAP BTP application requires guidance for architecture, operations, and security. Regular discussions on these topics with customers and partners further enhance and improve our content.
How does this track embody the ‘where ideas get real’ spirit?
In our SAP BTP General track, you’ll discover technology innovations that bring ideas to life. Sessions offer an overview of the platform’s key technologies, getting started guidance, best practices, and how to operate and securely integrate your applications. Begin with hands-on experience in the SAP Discovery Center or explore reference architectures within the SAP BTP Guidance Framework, covering your SAP BTP journey end-to-end.

What should be in everyone’s TechEd toolkit for 2024?
- Coffee: Could be quite useful managing to watch the broad range of TechEd sessions.
- Agenda Builder: Allows you to build your individual agenda and avoid colliding sessions (this will probably happen, but don’t worry as you can watch the recordings later).
- Excitement and a lot of questions: Make sure to use the Q&A tool during sessions. We will be answering questions live in the session and in the tool.
