It’s time to start planning your agenda for SAP TechEd Virtual! Head over to the TechEd Virtual dashboard to begin organizing your sessions: https://www.sap.com/events/teched/virtual/flow/sap/te24/dashboard/page/dashboard

To help you get started, here are a few recommendations that might be useful:

Keynote & Developer Keynote

By default, the Keynote is automatically added to your list of scheduled sessions. This session offers a high-level overview of the latest innovations and cool new developments from SAP. It also provides valuable insights into SAP's future strategy.

However, don’t overlook the Developer Keynote! This is another essential session to include in your TechEd Virtual agenda. Unlike the main keynote, the Developer Keynote is all about diving deep into the technical aspects. If you're keen on hands-on technical insights and want a closer look at the latest tools and developments, this session is a must!

Prioritize your interests

Next, start by applying a filter to narrow down the list of sessions to those that align with your interests. This should be your priority, focusing on sessions that offer updates and new insights in areas you’re passionate about or working on. Once you’ve locked in these key sessions, you can fill any gaps in your schedule with other sessions that catch your eye or topics you’d like to explore further.

Personally, I selected the following tracks as a filter:

Maximize your schedule

Once you’ve selected all the sessions that match your interests, it’s time to fill any gaps in your schedule. Head to your dashboard and identify where those gaps are in your list of scheduled sessions. Then, browse the session catalog to find additional sessions that fit those time slots. Choose the ones that seem most interesting or relevant to you.

For example, I had a gap between 10:30 am and 11:00 am on the first day:

Remove all the filters:

And look at the sessions available at that time. I filled this gap with the Keynote recap + Community welcome:

Plan backup sessions

It's a good idea to plan backup sessions in case your scheduled session doesn't meet your expectations. By having an alternative ready, you can easily switch if needed. While scheduling a backup session at the same time will create a conflict, you can simply keep the one you prefer and mark the backup as a favorite. This allows you to quickly jump to it if needed, or catch the replay afterward.

Many sessions will focus on Joule, both as an AI assistant for our business and as a powerful tool for developers. I’m really excited to explore all the new innovations Joule has to offer. It’s definitely something to keep an eye on during SAP TechEd Virtual! (though it will be hard to miss! 😊)

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by virtual sessions, consider attending SAPInsider EMEA in Copenhagen, which is partnering with TechEd on Tour: https://reg.eventmobi.com/emea-2024. Tom Cenens and I will be presenting a session on BTP titled “Key Strategies for Effective SAP BTP Administration and Governance.” It’s a great opportunity to connect in person and dive deep into BTP strategies!
